I just got back from a trip to Northern California. It is great to be back in my own bed, but I must admit that I miss the yurt and I’m having a hard time grappling with the fact that there will not be a flight of wine waiting for me in my cube tomorrow morning. What a great trip!
We visited the Pessagno, Hahn, and Talbott wineries on River Road in Monterey on Thursday, and spent Monday in Sonoma at Chalk Hill (spectacular views), Kendall-Jackson (amazing wine and cheese pairings), Benziger (of Bachelor fame), and Gundlach Bundschu (the oldest family-owned vineyard in California).
Other highlights were the view from the restaurant Nepenthe in Big Sur , the baby (TINY) seahorses at Monterey Bay Aquarium, and dinner at The Girl and The Fig in Sonoma. Such a good time, I can’t wait to go back!
