Etsy Obsession

Sometimes you see something and you just….needtohaveitrightnow. You know?

Here’s a great example: the cutest garlands on the face of the planet by StudioMucci. They are perfect for a wedding or party, but I think would look just as good (or even better?) in a more permanent space – like hung behind a couch or above a bed. Don’t think B will let me hang a pink sparkly garland above the bed, but a girl can dream, right?

(*Dream about her future MandaCave, that is…*)

Wishing and Hoping and Thinking…Camera Strap!

I’m thinking about asking for a new digital camera for my birthday…a somewhat shmancy one that I can use when my iPhone just doesn’t cut it. If the birthday fairies (aka my parents) do decide to grant my wish, I’m obviously going to need this camera strap. Had I not wanted a camera before I saw this strap, I’d definitely want one now…pretty sure it’s meant to be. Let the birthday countdown begin!

Wishing and Hoping and Thinking… Zodiac Flats

When I was in Paris back in March, I was lucky enough to attend a meeting with Charlotte Olympia and preview the Fall Collection. I fell hard for these zodiac smoking slippers, and now that they’re actually available in stores I’m oh-so tempted to snag myself a pair of Leos. A girl can dream, right?

Pajama Party

I’ve always been a big fan of PJs, and they’re really on my mind after two (going on three) sick days in bed. I spent most of Monday in my Ralph Lauren cheetah PJs, yesterday I looked like a straight up slob, and today I’m rocking a Honeydew nighty that is keeping me (somewhat) cool despite my 102 degree fever. Aside from the fever, I’m in the market for some summery PJs and this Sleepy Jones Sleep Set is on the top of my wish list. A little pricey, so this JCrew set might be a better option ; )

Currently crushing on some of the cards and prints over at Rifle Paper Co. Their florals are so good, and I really love the Always and Forever card – would be perfect for a wedding! Also into the Bobby Pin print below – how cute would that be in a bathroom? I might just attempt to re-create that one myself; who’s up for a little DIY??

Wishing and Hoping and Thinking… Itty Bitty Skully

And so my little love affair with gold jewelry continues (though I have yet to purchase anything!) Now would you look at this Itty Bitty Skully Bracelet?! That is the language they use on the site (Iwona Ludyga Design), I’m not joking. But they really mean it! The skull measures 3/16″ long! You can also get it with itty bitty diamond eyes, because it you’re going to wear an itty bitty 3/16″ skully on your wrist, it should probably have diamond eyes. Obsessed.

Wishlist: Baby Animals

This post is dedicated to Moriah Robbins, a fellow baby animal lover : )Image

I’m sort of very obsessed with baby animals. Sharon Montrose’s photos are cute enough for a nursery, but sophisticated enough for a more mature setting. I got my mom the baby camel and my sister the baby deer for Christmas this past year, and I might just have to get myself a little critter one of these days. If the babies are a little too cutesy for you, she also has amazing shots of adult animals. I especially like the buffalo – I think it would look great in my boyfriend’s apartment! She does a great job of capturing the babies’ personalities (how cute are the mischievous bear cubs?!) and the adults’ beauty (oh, hey cougar!).

Sharon recently did an interview with Joanna Goddard at A Cup of Jo! You can find it here.

Wishing and Hoping and Thinking…Vday Style

It must be the combination of my last post on recent smitten-ness (is that word?) with gold jewelry plus my favorite holiday approaching (hello, love in the air!), but I’m seeing lovey dovey cuter-than-ever pieces all over the place and I simply cannot get enough.

I was reading this post on Heart Friendship Bracelets (which I will have to attempt) and even though the bracelets are so cute, the little heart ring on the model’s hand caught my eye. It’s just the sweetest and I want it. (There, I said it, I want it!)

And I was totally smitten with the Meira T necklaces on the cover of the Bloomie’s Valentine’s Day mailer. But sigh. The $700 pricepoint is just not justifiable (at least not yet… that comes later in life, right?) Never fear! Bauble Bar saves the day, and their Iced Gold Love Pendant (or XOXO!) will be mine. At $28, it’s a much more justifiable #treatyoself purchase than my last (see pricey, but I-really-needed-them-I-did!, sneakers below.)

Wishing and Hoping and Thinking…

I’ve never been one to wear a lot of jewelry: usually my Italian horn necklace and simple stud earrings will do the trick. But sometimes I come across a piece that strikes me and think that I might just be able to become a jewelry wearer if I could call it mine. Specifically interested in Gorjana & Griffin this week, after I was directed to it by two different blogs on separate occasions. The zodiac bracelet below would add a great personal touch to a group of gold bracelets, while the leather wrap bracelet above could easily stand alone. Not only is the site filled with similarly easy-to-wear (and affordable!) pieces, it was started and is run by a couple – how cute!
